This is a repeat of a previous post I couln't retrieve from the website.

I have a 84 633csi that mysteriously dies sometimes after driving about an hour. It seems like it has no fuel delivery, sort of smells like a car that is out of gas when you crank it over. I have replaced the fuel filter, the fuel pump relay, plugs, distributor, rotor. I f it sits for 5 minutes it will start again and go maximum of 1 mile and will keep on doing this . If I let it sit for a half hour it will run fine. Also when first started cold the plugs seem fouled as if it is loaded up on fuel untill I rev it for a minute to clear it out. Also after turning it off and letting it sit for a half hour the plugs will again be fouled and it loaded up on fuel. Only way to get it started again is to disconnect the coil wire and hold it away from the coil creating an air gap for the spark to jump and then it will start right up as if nothing was ever wrong. Other times it runs great. Any help would be appreciated.
